Roshni Chopra: India’s First Desi Girl

After doing all-kind of house-hold work, finally Roshni Chopra has bagged a title of India’s first Desi Girl at the finale of the NDTV Imgaine TV reality show on last Sunday. The 30-year-old, actress has been living in Sialba Majri village near Chandigarh city since the past seven weeks, wherein she faced all challenges of village life along with her other finalists, finalists Ishitta Arun and Kashmera Shah.

In the final round, villagers of Sialba Majri as well as viewers across India voted in favour of Roshni Chopra. After bagging the title, she said,

“My experience in Sialba Majri has been one of the most fulfilling and challenging journeys. And I can proudly say is that the seven weeks I’ve spent here have helped me discover my inner desi girl.”

The concept of the show involved many celebrities, including Sambhavna Seth, Kashmera Shah, Roshni Chopra, Monica Bedi, Anmol Singh, Rucha Gujarati, Ishitta Arun and Aushima Sawhney surviving the tough village life, and performing the daily chores of villagers. The show was hosted by Rohit Roy.
