Blue, set to hit the screens on October 16th boasts of big names such as Sanjay Dutt, Akshay Kumar and Lara Dutta among others. The soundtrack has seven tracks.

“Aaj dil gustakh hai”, vocals by Shreya Ghoshal and Sukhwinder Singh is a soothing romantic song. The guitar sound in the song gives it a very modern feel, definitely worth a listen.

Next in line is “Bhoola tujhe”. The song sung by Rashid Ali(of Kabhi Kabhi Aditi – fame) offers a steadfast mix of slow and fast tempo. It hits the head at a very likeable spot and the effects of the song stay on with you for long.

Next  is the theme song. It changes pace many times and also shifts from western to Indian influences and back. A power-packed number, it has Blaaze, Raqeeb Alam, Sonu Kakkar and Jaspreet Singh behind the microphone.

Then there is the much-awaited east-west mixture song “Chiggy wiggy”, which features international pop rage Kylie Minogue and Sonu Nigam. Alongwith the vocals, Kylie also graces the video of this song, which is already being telecasted.
However the track is average at best.

The next offering is”Fiqrana” by Shreya Ghoshal and Vijay Prakash .Its a fast number, however does not leave an impact.
Up next is “Rehnuma”, a sensual song with influences of jazz. The song is crooned by Shreya Ghoshal and Sonu Nigam. It’s in a different league altogether. Rahman’s signature style can be felt at places. Very hummable song.

Lastly there is “Yaar mila tha”, which has vocals by Udit Narayan and Madhushree. This song too, fails to leave an impression.

But on the whole, Rahman has proved it yet again that he is the undisputed musical genius!
