After Luck by Chance, producer, actor, and director, Farhan Akhtar is again back with his new release as an actor and producer in ‘Karthik Calling Karthik’. First time, actress Deepika Padukone is featuring with him. This will be his first release film in this year 2010.
Farhan and Deepika are central characters of the movie in ‘Karthik Calling Karthik (KCK)’. Karthik Narayan, played by Farhan, is an introvert and shy nature guy, who lacks confidence and unhappy with his profession. His boss treats him as a looser. In contrast, Shonali Mukherjee, played by Deepika, is a bold, confident and outspoken girl, who is very much focused on her career and herself. Shonali helps Karthik to come out of his shell.
Movie is a good combination of romance and thriller. The movie takes turn when Karthik start receiving calls from a person who has same name. When the clock strikes at 5, Karthik receives call from Karthik who changes his life by giving new motivation and direction to his life.
The music of the movie also goes along with the movie. Lyrics written by Mr. Javed Akhtar, the songs are quite impressive.
