The noted art director, Shyam Benegal has brought another light-hearted movie, “Well Done Abba” after “Welcome to Sajjanpur”.
The story moves round a driver Armaan Ali (Boman Irani) who works for a Senior Executive (Samir Dattani) in Mumbai, is anxious for his teenage daughter’s marriage. The daughter (Minissha Lamba) lives with Armaan’s twin brother Rehmaan Ali (Boman Irani) and his wife, Salma (Ila Arun). He seeks permission from his boss for one month leave for going Hyderabad to find a suitable match for his daughter.
On his return to his job after three months, his boss is very annoyed at him and wants to dismiss him. But Armaan Ali has an interesting story to tell his boss to convince him. The story which he tells is all about his twin brother, his wife, Salma, his daughter’s marriage and the politics with the amusing and hilarious incidents happened with him in these three months.
Shyam Benegal is successful in delivering social message along with the full entertainment. The movie is full of humorous instances based upon realistic situations.
When we talk about the performance, Boman steals the show. Minissha too leaves her impact upon the audience. The other actors such as Samir Dattani and Ila Arun also played their part well. The music score given by Shantanu Moitra goes with the story and is quite good to ears. The movie is already critically appreciated everywhere.
The movie is going to hit the screen on 26th March 2010. A real entertainment package by Shyam Benegal
