There is no Competition between me and Ekta: Tusshar Kapoor

Tusshar Kapoor may not have many solo hits to his kitty, but the actor has proved his acting prowess with many films, few produced by his own sister, Ekta Kapoor.

Talking about competition and rivalry, he says,

There is no scope for competition as we come from two different creative fields. I am an actor and she is a producer. Moreover, she came to this industry much later than I did. We weren’t that close enough to discuss our work. And, we fought a lot as kids.

he added.

The actor is seen in many in multi-starrers, admits that it is challenging to stand out in a crowd and make an impact.

At the end of the day, whether you play a solo lead, or are in a multi-starrer, there is a certain amount of risk involved. There is definitely an advantage with sequels as there is a market for the film. But there is also an equal amount of pressure to live up to expectations.

His comic timing in films like Golmaal and Kyaa Super Kool Hai Hum has garnered him a fan following. Talking about other genres, he says,

I never planned my career and go with the flow. People have liked me in comic roles, but yes if given a chance, I would love to play a romantic lead in the future.

he said.

The actor is soon to be seen in film, Shootout at Wadala.

I play Sheikh Munir who is an upcoming gangster of the 70s. I went to Dongri to get to know about the people of that area. I wanted to know how they talk and carry themselves. This movie portrays Bombay from 1971-1982. Director Sanjay Gupta has helped me evolve as an actor.

The 36 year old actor is also often asked about his marriage. Talking on that front, he says,

I am a shy person, and that’s why I have somehow managed to keep my life private. If something substantial occurs in my personal life, I would love to share it with everyone. I am of marriageable age and am waiting for the right time. I want that someone who makes me feel complete.
