The Japanese Wife – A Love poem: First Look

After Mr. & Mrs Iyer, Aparna Sen is coming back with her new movie, called ‘The Japanese Wife – A Love poem’ casting again Rahul Bose in her movie. This time, Aparna Sen has come with an unusual message ‘How far will you go for love?’.

The film is about a schoolteacher, Snehamoy, a schoolteacher in the Sunderbans, marries with a young girl of Japan, Miyage without meeting each other. They meet through letters, fall in love over letters and even get married over letters. They have been married for 15 years, but they have never met…

Lyrically-narrated, spectacularly photographed film, Snehamoy and Miyege, go to the distance for their love, from the happy to the sad and sometimes they are strange.

First time, Japanese actress, Chigusa Takaku will be working for the Indian films, and the very-much talented actor smoothly goes from a College Student to an elderly man. And, of course, there is Raima Sen and Moushumi Chatterjee, who burst back onto the screen after two decades. The film is set to release on 9 April 2010.
