SRK retrospects

In his recent stint at hosting the IIPM quiz DARE 2009 in Delhi, Shahrukh Khan delighted one and all with his ever-so-witty antics . He was seen reminiscing his olden days as he said ” I’m the most successful failure . My mother did not live long enough to see my success . I equated poverty to failure earlier . I did not want to be poor, and so i did Deewana , which Armaan Kohli had refused. Then i did Baazigar that my friend Salman had declined . I then did Darr as Aamir turned it down and i did Dil Aashna Hai, as Saif had refused it . These films paid well and i worked to avoid unemployment . When Dilip Sahab and I were watching my Devdas, i asked him ‘ Why did you do Devdas ? ‘ To which he replied ‘ Pata Nahin, Tab ek lakh rupaiya mila tha ‘ . Then success happened ,..! My speech ends now, and this is when people normally clap! ” Srk and his repertoire kept everyone amused.
