Sonu Sood Grabbed Ang Lee’s Next

After doing a baddie in Dabangg, Sonu Sood has grabbed an International project of Ang Lee, director of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and Brokeback Mountain. Sonu Sood will be working in an adaptation of Yann Martel’s Booker Prize-winning novel, Life of Pi.

Sonu will play as a Pi’s father in the film, which will go on the floors in Pondicherry next year.  The 16-year-old Piscine Molitor ‘Pi’ Patel will be played by an undisclosed 17-year-old newbie from Delhi. After watching Sonu’s Dabangg, Ang Lee called Sonu and met personally.

When contacted, Sonu said,

“Yes, I’ve met Ang Lee for a major role in Life Of Pi. I can’t say anything about it at the moment. But I must say it was a huge privilege meeting Ang Lee, such a great filmmaker and so humble. He had seen my work before meeting me.”

Well, Sonu must be happy after grabbing an international project and celebrate this diwali.
