Sonam Says No to Mani Ratnam but Yes to Priyadarshan

Well, Fillum.com few days back reported that Sonam Kapoor has denied working with Mani Ratnam , but she has accepted to work with Priyadarshan’s film. Why not, after all her father Anil Kaoppr is involved in the film. As Sonam Kapoor gave an idea to Priyadarshan to remake Hindi of Hollywood movie, ‘Freaky Friday’ as the papa, Anil Kapoor has brought the rights of Walt Disney Productions’.

The comic drama revolves around a daughter and mother whose personas get interchanged. Off course, Sonam is playing daughter’s role; while role of her mother is still on hunt. Among others, Rekha and Shabana Azmi are being considered for the character. As per sources,

When Anile was in Los Angeles recently for the wrap-up party of his TV series 24, Anil met up with Disney officials to discuss the deal. It was his beti Sonam who suggested that he remake the film. Just the paperwork needs to be signed. The film will start this year-end, once all the negotiations are complete.”

Apparently, Anil Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor will be seen together in Yash Raj Film’s where both daughter, Sonam and Papa, Anil has given nod to the project.
