It seems that all is not well between Saif Ali Khan and his partner, Dinesh vijan, partner in his production house, Illuminati Films. The two have decided to put their parts away after completing their last production, Agent Vinod together.
Whereas Dinesh has decided to open his own production house, planning to produce a comedy triangle love story after parting with Saif. The film will be directed by Homi Adajania, director of Being Cyrus and will most probably star Imran Khan in the lead role. If Imran says Yes, then he will be paired with Deepika Padukone. A source says,
Imran has loved the script and is just waiting for a bound script. If Imran agrees, he will be paired with Deepika Padukone, who has already signed the film.
Dinesh had worked with Homi in Being Cyrus and the two were always keen on doing another film together. But Dinesh got busy with Love Aaj Kal and later Agent Vinod.
Though Saif and Dinesh are parting their ways, but still they get along very well and maintain their friendship. Saif said,
I am extremely proud of Illuminati Films. Dinesh is not just my partner in production, he is like a brother to me. We are equal partners in Illuminati Films but at the same time I would also be working with outside producers. I also have my own production company in which I am the sole stakeholder.
I haven’t named the company yet, but tentatively it will be called Saif Ali Khan Productions. So I will make some films under this banner, some under Illuminati. Also, there will be films which Dinesh will make under his own individual production – which is only fair. Rumours about him doing a film without him and me doing a film without him are a fact. There is nothing wrong in it. In fact, we are quite excited about that.
Confirming that Dinesh will be producing the Homi Adjania film by himself, Saif added,
I will be helping him. The mother company is Illuminati. Every year we will be making films for this banner. We already have plans. We will be doing one more Agent Vinod film and talks are on for more films.
Hopefully we will have an exciting announcement soon. Siddharth Anand’s film will be made under my individual banner. I will be doing three films over the span of 18 months. The other films are with Kunal Kohli and Vishal Bhardwaj.
