Rubina Ali Got New Apartment in Bandra

Finally God has listened the prayers of Rubina Ali of “slumdog Millionaire” fame. Recently she was in news for releasing her autobiography in Marathi and now she has got a new home. Now she will not have to live in filthy surroundings of the slum area. She will have her own house where she will grow in clean and healthy environment.

The apartment worths Rs.35 lakhs is located in Bandra and was acquired by the Jai Ho trust, founded by the film’s director Danny Boyle and producer Christian Colson,inorder to take care of the two slum children who acted in the film. Rubina will shift to her new apartment along with her family in mid July.

Rubina’s co-actor Azharuddin Ismail(the young Salim in Slumdog Millionaire) and his family has already shifted to a 250 square foot studio in Vile Parle last year. But Rubina’s father Raufiq denied to leave Bandra where they had their dwelling. Finally the trust managed to afford a house in Bandra. Raufiq liked the apartment and the family will shift there in the month of July

Apparently, Danny Boyle is living in Mumbai and has given the final touches to the script of “Bombay Velvet” which he is making with the collaboration of Anurag Kashyap. He is also going to screen Vikas Swaroop’s Six Suspects and Suketu Mehta’s Maximum City.
