Ranvir plays the role of a Bengali NRI in Life Ki Toh Lag Gayi

This is one incident that Ranvir Shorey just cannot forget. While shooting for Rakesh Mehta’s Life Ki Toh Lag Gayi, his costar Misti Mukherjee actually landed up hitting him with her juta!

No, the much married Ranvir was not trying to act fresh with Misti. It was just that the actress was so excited shooting with him that she ended up whacking him while doing the shot. When asked about it, Ranvir casually says,

Hota hai! Mistakes happen. It’s all a part of acting and filmmaking.

Laughingly he adds,

It became a joke on the sets – kab mere ko juta padega!

The actor, however, is kicked about the film. Playing a Bengali NRI, his character, Amol Ganguly, comes across extraordinary circumstances leading to a complete transformation. Says Ranvir,

I have played a jilted lover before, but what makes my character a highlight is the radical change he goes through by the end of the film. It starts off with simplicity but ends up being just opposite of that.

Shedding more light on Life Ki Toh… Ranvir says,

I was totally smitten by the narration. But what added to the glee was the style of filmmaking, which is quite sleek and edgy.
