When every actor, including Shahrukh, Aamir, Akhsay, John, Neil Nitin, have joined in a race of ad world, then why heartthrob, Ranbir Kapoor will keep him aside of this world, as he is already there being part of Pepsi, John Players, and Panasonic. Now, the actor has joined his hands with Nissan brand representing as on official Brand Ambassador of the Nissan Motor India Private Ltd (NMIPL).
With the launch of Nissan Micra, Ranbir will endorse the products and services of Nissan in India through promotions, advertising, and marketing. 27-year old actor has signed three-year contract with the company. Kiminobu Tokuyama, managing director and CEO, NMIPL, stating about Ranbir, why the company took him as Brand Ambassador, said,
“Ranbir Kapoor is an extremely passionate, versatile and talented film star and he has shown his pedigree in a very short period. We believe Ranbir with his uber cool charm and mass appeal brings in a perfect connect with our brand,”
The actor also showed his love for driving and said,
“At night going for a drive is the most therapeutic thing. It’s the time when I can think about my day, about what am I going to do.”
Ranbir said at the launch of Nissan’s first locally made car, Nissan Micra,
“I feel really good that such a big brand has given me this responsibility. It’s truly a good, comforting car and it’s not that expensive also. I am an actor and have to concentrate on it. When a brand comes and thinks that I am responsible enough, and have some capability to sell their product, I am more than happy to do it. Of course, they pay well.”
Nissan Micra bookings are open in India from last week. The car will be on sale from July 2010.
