Priyanka Said No to ‘Bride Wars’ Remake

Shrishti Arya, sister of filmmaker, Goldie Behl, when wanted to make a remake of Hollywood starbuster movie, Bride Wars with Priyanka Chopra, its obiviously the actress denied her because the filmmaker had previously box-office disaster, Drona starring Abhishek Bachchan & Priyanka Chopra.

In the aftermath the Behl camp has been trying to regain lost ground. This might be yet another blow to it. Firstly, Katrina Kaif walked out of the film, and now Priyanka Chopra walked out from the film. A source says,

“The film was supposed to start mid-last year. It’s almost a year more now. Since it is so delayed, obviously dates ka problem to honewala hi tha.”

When contacted, Shrishti said,

“That film is all up in the air now. After Manish passed away I have been trying to get a new director. He or she will be finalized in the next two weeks. So the film is definitely going to happen.  Let things fall into place.”

Does Priyanka remain in the film, we asked. Replied Shrishti,

“It’s very difficult for me to say that. She has no dates for the next two years. Let’s see what happens.”

As of now, Shrishti is busy with a small film starring John Abraham and Chitrangada Singh. Let’s hope that breaks the jinx.
