On-screen Diva, Katrina, Diva in Real Sense

Many of us know Katrina Kaif as sizzling actress of Bollywood, but many of us do not know about her human side. Or may be Katrina believes in silence to do anything for doing any social cause. Katrina Kaif flew to Madhurai and then traveled 29 km to reach Azhagusirai village in Tamil Nadu keeping a goal of the eradication of female infanticide.

She and her mother Suzanne are running a project to save girl child as the girl child in the village is either killed or abandoned soon after her birth. Sussanne Turquotte, heads an organization called ‘Relief Projects India (RPI)’ in Chennai. She has been fighting female infanticide for years and Katrina, who empathizes with the cause, is now lending a hand. Now Katrina is so involved in the project that she started a department dedicated to provide skill development facilities to children who are in the toddler age. Katrina calls this wing Little Darlings, intending to start a separate home for the care of children who are not likely to be adopted because of physical disabilities.

Katrina says,

“These are little people, beautiful, talented people bright, but a lot of them are not going to be adopted.”

Poverty in Azhagusirai is so rife that families cannot afford to raise a girl child because of the evil social practice of dowry prevalent there. Katrina also wants to start similar kind of project in Mumbai where she can invest her time and energies into bringing a ray of hope into the lives of the less fortunate.

On-screen diva is now becoming real diva for these toddlers by giving smile of their face.
