Neil Says No, Saif & John Say Yes

Neil Nitin Mukesh revealed that he denied two offers, one from Saif Ali Khan’s home production, Agent Vinod and second one from Sriram’s Happy Birthday. Yes, that’s true, but it was not Saif’s character! The character which was offered to Neil as of now has been edited out.

The actor confirmed that, filmmaker, Sriram Raghavan narrated him the character, which he didn’t like. Neil said,

‘Yes, I had heard a narration after Sriram finished with the script. But the character that he offered me didn’t turn out to be as powerful as Sriram had initially drawn it out to be.’

Neil also disclosed that earlier John’s character in Happy Birthday was offered to him but he denied as the actor has decided to do one film at a time. The actor said,

‘When we were filming Johnny Gaddar, Sriram had discussed both subjects with me, but things didn’t work out. Sriram is like God to me. I did a nine-hour audition for’him for my debut film. I trust his sensibilities and we have decided that at the next opportunity, we will do a film together again.’

The Lafangey Parindey actor is presently buoyant about Vishal Bharadwaj’s Saat Khoon Maaf and Abbas-Mustan’s remake of the Italian Job. Neil stated,

‘Other than that, I’m just reading scripts. I do one film at a time.’
