Neelima’s Nawab Nautanki Ready to Kick Off

Long back, Neelima Azeem, mother of Shahid Kapoor, announced the launch of her film, Nawab Nautanki in December 2009. But, the film faced many hassles, including its star cast and producers; the shooting of the movie was scheduled to begin this January, but producer, Lord Mukul Paul Taneja backed out at last minute.

The film will start by October. A source reveals

“Neelima has been planning this film for the last three years. She knows what she wants. She also wasn’t happy with the producer. She believes that rather than working with any producer just to meet deadlines, it is better to ally with someone who believes in her. Now Neelima has got the backing of a corporate house to fund the film. The new team has promised her full support and also a larger scale for her venture.”

Currently, Neelima is busy in pre-production work. Azim says,

“Yes. I am working with new producers and am really excited to begin my film. However, an official announcement will only happen in two weeks’ time.”

Nawab Nautanki will be shot around Bhopal and other places in North India. Apart from doing the choreography for her film along with Pandit Birju Maharaj, Neelima will also be writing the lyrics for the film.
