Mukul Deora doesnt want to join Politics now

Bheja Fry 2 Maker Mukul Deora who has a family background of politicians is currently not interested in Politics,

Mukul said,

I have seen that joining politics means giving up your whole life to serve the country, which is great. But I think I will do it sometime in the future because if I join politics now, I won’t have time to do other things,” Mukul, who turned producer with “Bheja Fry 2”

I want to express myself in different creative areas. I don’t think I would be able to do that with politics. But I’m not averse to the idea. As a thinking person, who wouldn’t want to see a change in the society? In our country, so much improvement is needed and one feels like contributing,

Mukul’s career started as a DJ with Bhavishyavani, after that he experimented on sound, he did sound performances and released his first album ‘Stray’ in 2006 followed by ‘What Heart’ in 2010,

Bheja Fry 2 is under his home production house he started with the name Watchtower Entertainment,

He said,

I always wanted to make movies, but you can’t make movies you don’t like or understand. It’s only in the last five years that audiences taste changed and people started appreciating different films, which I liked, and these films did well,

Hence I decided to produce Bheja Fry 2, even before the script was in place. Sagar and I met, talked about many ideas and decided to do a sequel to the film. I bought the rights to the project and he started working on the script,

Talking about Bheja Fry 2 he said,

From a situational comedy, it has become an adventure comedy. It’s bigger now, but the core is the same. This time protagonist Bharat Bhushan will have a love interest too

I think it’s always good to have stakes high. It’s better to have high expectations. We have something to look up to. It’s a good challenge that we have.

But it is not a pressure for us. We just want to make sure that it’s a good film and people like it. It’s a very good sequel. We have not moved away from the core, just expanded

Bheja Fry 2 is releasing on 17 June 2011, The sequel has new characters played by Minissha Lamba, Amol Gupte, Kay Kay Menon, Suresh Menon and Rahul Vohra.

Apart from Bheja Fry sequel, Mukul has other project on hand under co production with John Hart the producer of Hollywood flick Revolutionary Road and Patrick Milling Smith from New York,

This project is based on Booker Award winning novel ‘The White Tiger’ by Arvind Adiga,

Talking about novel based project Mukul said,

John Hart and I have bought the rights of the book and we will start working on it soon. We have to attach a director, it’s a long way ahead. No plans as of now. We have to see. It’s an exciting project.
