Manoj has always encouraged me : Nawazuddin Siddiqui

Nawazuddin Siddiqui, earlier seen in Gangs Of Wasseypur by Anurag Kashyap is soon to be seen in his upcoming film Chittagong. GOW had him playing a gangster, while in in Chittagong he has been cast as revolutionary.

With Chittagong, the actor will be working with Manoj Bajpayee once agin. However, they didn’t need to break the ice.

Says Manoj,

We knew each other from our theatre days and were comfortable working with each other. I am glad that Nawaz is getting the due that he rightfully deserves. He is a very fine actor and is now getting to prove his talent.

Nawaz says that they got an opportunity to bond while they shot for the film.

During Chittagong, we spent a lot of time talking about and reliving our theatre days. Manoj has always encouraged me. He is easily one of the finest actors in the industry and I have immense respect for him.

While Manoj says,

Our acting styles are similar. We both don’t believe in rehearsing too much and that works well for us.

After this film, the actors don’t have any more films together. Nawaz says,

I hope that we get a script that pairs us together in the future. Today, when the audience comes to a multiplex and spends a certain amount of money on the ticket they want to know if the movie is going to be worth their money. When people from within the industry praise a movie, it generates curiosity among the janta. As an actor, it makes me feel good that the film that I believed in has been liked by my peers.

Chittagong, a Sunil Bohra and Abhishek Vvyas film presented under the banner of Bohra Bros Pvt Ltd, releases today.
