Lalit Modi Biopic Shelved!

We have reporting about Lalit Modi’s biopic from many days but one-another hand the flick has not getting into the floors. Recently, Shahrukh Khan denied for the role of Lalit Modi keeping ILP in kind, and now the idea of making a movie on Lalit Modi has been shelved because of IPL controversies.

Percept Pictures, who was making the flick on Lalit Modi, stated that “Too hot to handle,”, and decided that instead of this idea, they will produce much larger picture of IPL. A source says,

“The comprehensive IPL epic. The two IPL seasons, its main players, the franchise owners, the bookies, the brokers, the middlmen, you name them…they will all feature in fictional and non-fictional avatars.”

“The film will have references to Bollywood’s eager participation in the IPL. Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta and Shilpa Shetty might actually make guest appearances .”

Well, Percept Pictures has not finalized the Director for this ambitious project. Interestingly, Percept was collaborated with Bhatts for Emran Hashmi starrer, Jannat, based on match-fixing. Shailendra Singh, the joint Managing Director of Percept said,

“Yes we will now be going ahead with the film on IPL and cricket. The Lalit Modi film now seems impractical and impossible to make.”
