Karan Johar high on Success

It’s almost been a week since the teaser of the AGNEEPATH remake was released and producer Karan Johar is already onhigh with its sucess.The promo received over 6,50,000 hits within 48 hours, and the number was close to 10 lakh at the time of going to press. On the occasion, the filmmaker promises to bring out a longer and more detailed trailer of his action-drama around Diwali.
“I’m always hoping for the best and preparing for the worst. We had shown the teaser to a cross-section before releasing it. The reactions made us somewhat confident that it would arouse initial interest. Fortunately it did,” says Karan, adding that the idea behind bringing out the first promo, five months before the film’s release, was to highlight the fact that there is nothing in common between this film and the original, except the names of the protagonist and antagonist -Vijay Dinanath Chauhan and Kancha Cheena. “Mukul Anand’s and Karan Malhotra’s worlds are diagonally different. Karan has worked hard to make AGNEEPATH a completely different film and it’s evident in the promos.”
