Jagjit Singh’s condition critical !

The condition of renowned ghazal singer Jagjit Singh, who suffered a brain hemorrhage is stable yet critical, according to the Lilavati hospital authorities.

Singh was admitted to Lilavati hospital in suburban Bandra where he underwent a surgery following which he was put on life support system and ventilator.

Sudhir Dagaonkar, Hospital Spokesperson said –

He is still in the ICU and under observation. His health is stable

Family and friends of the singer have refused to comment on Singh’s health.
Brain hemorrhage is a known complication of uncontrolled hypertension or high blood pressure.
In January 1998, Singh had suffered a heart attack, which led him to quit smoking. In October 2007, he was hospitalised following blood circulation problems.
