Is Emraan Playing Dawood’s Character in OUATIM?

If Ajay Devgan is playing a character of Hazi Mastan in Once Upon A Time In Mumbai (OUATIM), Kangana is playing his love-interest, Sona, then what is Emraan Hashmi? Any guesses? Yes, he is playing a character of underworld don, Dawood Ibrahim in the same flick.

Emraan has copied Dawood’s style in his role. In-fact he has also tried to look like him. However, the actor denied his character’s similarity with Dawood,

“My character is not inspired by Dawood. The stylist has tried to recreate the 70s era.”

But as per promos, it’s not only Emraan’s look but the director has taken the same location, where once Dawood had once watched a horse race. A source reveals,

The director wanted it to look real. So the scene was revisited and shot was taken at Mahalakshmi race course in Mumbai where Dawood had once watched a horse race,”

But, Emraan and director, Milan Luthria have denied the resemblance, and Emraan added,

“It has nothing to do with anyone in particular. I studied the body language and dressing styles of dons and read about them.”
