I’m curious about my past life – Karishma Kapoor

Karisma Kapur is nervous. After a seven-year sabbatical, she will be seen in Vikram Bhatt’s 3D movie, ” Dangerous Ishq”.

But it is her decision to go through past-life regression in the next few days, on camera, that’s making her tense. The film shows her character trying to find out who has kidnapped her fiance, and the answer to it lies in her past lives.

I am nervous, but I’m curious about my past life. The thought that we are surrounded by our friends as well as our enemies intrigues me. Vikram has done past-life regression a few times. My co-star Divya Dutta and some of my friends have also done it.

says Karisma. Vikram wrote the script based on his experiences during past-life regression, and tried to persuade her for about three years to do the film.

Finally, I heard the script last year and was bowled over. The audience will see me in different avatars because during the process of going back into past lives, I’ve spoken five languages – Marwari, Urdu, Punjabi, Hindi and English. In my modern avatar, I play a supermodel.

Vikram says,

When I regressed, I saw that I’d died in an earthquake. I was buried under rubble. Strange but true, I suffer from asthma. It’s supposed to be a genetic disorder, but no one in my family has it. When I see dust, I feel asthmatic.

Vikram is confident about the entertainment value of the film. “If the audience made my horror films hits, even as many don’t believe in ghosts, they might like this fantasy-driven theme too.

Through regression (to be done with Dr Shirley Bose, regression, astrologer and Tarot card reader) I want to know what is in store for me.
