I am happy with what I am doing: Chunkey Pandey

Actor Chunky Pandey who was last seen in Housefull 2, is all set to appear in Bullet Raja, his new film. The actor talks about his upcoming projects.

I’m a good and a bad guy in the film. People will get confused deciphering who I actually am. But they’ll love me, any how. I was getting bored of doing only comic roles and so, when Tishu (Tigmanshu) offered me this role, I was really excited.

says Pandey.

Talking about his roles, he says,

Not much. But Bollywood has opened up enough for actors like me to have a place somewhere in a film. And now, after so many years in the industry, I am happy with what I am doing. I can’t expect to be playing the lead and romancing heroines, so I’ll do what I’m best suited for and I’m doing that happily. I have played lead roles, that was like ages ago, so it’s not as if there’s any regret.

Chunky was missing in action from Hindi films for a very long time, and he says because of that he lost out on a lot of good offers in Bollywood.

I had started doing Bangladeshi films. You can say most of my aspirations of being an actor got fulfilled there, but I lost out as an actor back home. And when I came back to India, there were two generations of actors in front of me. It was as if I didn’t know who I was. Kids would come to me and ask ‘aap hain kaun?’ Their mothers though, would recognize me and explain to them, and they would be like ‘itna purana actor?’ There was my generation and the absolutely new, younger lot which ruled. It was a scary scene but I managed to make a place for myself anyway.
