Hrithik Roshan
A genious son of Pinky & Rakesh Roshan was born on 10th January 1974 who was named Hritik[Duggu] Roshan in our very own Mumbai, has a sister Sunaina, Wife Sussanne and 2 son Hrehaan who was born on March 28, 2006 and Hridhaan born on May 1, 2008.
His closest friend is Bollywood actress Preity Zinta who is a friend of his wife Sussanne too ,
He was diagnosed with scoliosis at the age of 21 and told by doctor that he could never be an actor, he wont be able to do anything that an actor can do, dancing, fighting acting, anything a actor needs.
He Prepared himself to do his debut by taking all the trainging acting, dancing, fighting, singing, riding etc. he took lessons for years. Hritik had to work hard on his diction and physical appearance, he succeded to overcome his stammering problem.
Also he had worked on his fathers sets many years to learn everything that is need to make a film, he did swiping too to learn film making.
After somuch of training he is called a perfectionist , he is known to do many rehersals before giving the final take, and all this is not just like that, he is called the Indian Brad Pitt, Sylvester Stallone and Michael Jackson togehter in one body.
His hard work is seen on the screen since he was a kid he so much loved the fillum industry that he joined it since he was a kid, from 1980 Hritik started working in filums, his first movie as a child artist was Aasha when he was just a 6 Years old Kid, after that he never looked back, as soon as he finished his education, he came back to his first ever love Bollywood, he made his debute with Amisha Patel in the movie Directed, Produced & written by his Father Rakesh Roshand and became a Super Star in the first movie itself, he also won the best dubetant & Best Actor award and grabbed the Super star Name in first fillum itself.
His movies after Aasha where he had come as extra in a dance sequence were Aap Ke Deewane in 1980,Bhagwan Dada in 1986 which were Rakesh Roshan starrer, he also assisted his father own fillum Karan Arjun in 1995 and Koyla in 1997
Then he himself came as a lead in his very first film by his father Kahona Pyaar hai which won many awards and also entered in the Limca Book of Records in 2003 for the most number of awards won by a Bollywood film, the film won 102 awards.
He then did fiza, which was a good movie praised by everyone but didnt do well on the box office, but still Hritik entered once again in the best actors category for the awards, critics like Taran Adarsh also said that “The mainstay of the film is undoubtedly Hrithik Roshan. His body language, his diction, his expressions, his overall persona deserves great praise. With this film, Hrithik proves that there is more to him than just being a fashionable rage, a Mills & Boon lover-boy and a sex symbol. His talent comes to the fore in several scenes, especially those with Karisma. All said and done, the show belongs to Hrithik, who saves Fiza to a major extent. A brilliant performance undoubtedly!”
This was not enough that his third film also grabbed the love of audiance, Mission Kashmir became the third highest collection film
Again Hritiks proved himself as a great and tallented actor by the Critics words like “Hrithik once again cuts a splendid performance as a youngster sucked in the vortex of terrorism. He is portrayed as anti-government in the early part of the film, a bold role to play for even a seasoned actor, leave alone a budding superstar.”
He became a super star of Bollywood and a name on everyones lips with a smile, in just four movies he was a super star and a son of a proud father.
Hritik faced some problems for his movie in 2000 in Nepal, Rumors were that he has said that he hates Nepal and its people. Nepal people didnt take it lightly, his movie posters were torned and the movie was banned, he had to clear the missunderstandg with the help of government and the Bollywood Actress and Nepal’s Kings Daughter Manisha Koirala.
Following his success he did Yaadein with Subhash Ghai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham with Karan Johar ans as usual they did well on the box office and again hritiks movie became the highest collecting movie of 2001
He got nomination for Best Supporting Actor and had another successful year,
In 2002 his movies Mujhse Dosti Karoge, Na Tum Jano Na Hum & Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage didnt do well but his fan following didnt affect at allge – failed to make an impact the box office and were declared flops.[14]
And this was the time when he was concentrating on his Father Roshan’s movie Koi Mil Gaya, which was released in 2003 and was a super hit again, he played a mentally disabled kids role and his this character and acting was loved by millions of his fans, he proved that he can fit in any role. He got the Best Actor Award again
Critic like Taran Adarsh said,”Hrithik Roshan dominates the show and packs in a power-packed performance. The role of a mentally challenged person is no cakewalk, but the actor takes to it like a fish takes to water. He manages to pull off the zero to hero routine exceptionally well. As an actor, he scales dizzier heights with this splendid performance.”
In 2004 Hritik did only one film Lakshya for Farhan Akhtar which did not do well on the box office but as usual his performance was noted by everyone
After that he took a break for his sequel of Koi Milgaya, which was named Krrish which released in June 2006. and as Koi Milgaya even this movie worked well and won millions of hearts
Then he entered in another sequel of Dhoom, named Dhoom 2 and won third award from Filmfare for Best Actor
This was another film of Hritik which earned highest amount in 2006
After playing commercial roles Hritik selected an epic character to play, he came as Akbar opposite Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in Jodha Akbar Direct by Ashutosh Gowarikar in 2008,
This movie too did amazing on the box office, and won somany awards, it was appreciated not only in India but abroad too, even critics had only good words to praise Hritik for the performance and here he won his fourth Filmfare award as Best Actor and first international award for Best Actor at the Golden Minbar International Film Festival in Kazan, Russia.
After that he did a small role in Luck By Chance in 2009
And now he is ready with his latest movie to be released in 2010 which is directed by Anurag Basu, the fillum is named Kites , he is the lead with with Mexican actress Bárbara Mori and Kangna Ranaut,
the film is releasing on 21st May 2010.
His next release after Kites will be Guzaarish again with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and the movie is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali
