Emraan Hashmi experiments yet again with his look in Shanghai

In his journey as an actor in the Indian cinema, actor Emraan Hashmi has come a long way with his exuberant acting skills. He has been experimenting with his looks and roles for various movies that he was a part of. He has been appreciated for his work by Bollywood lovers. In his new venture ‘Shanghai’ which is a political thriller, he had to put on weight for the character that he was portraying. Apart from Emraan, actors like Abhay Deol and Kalki Koechlin are also a part of this movie.

The director of the movie Dibakar Banerjee wanted Emraan to play a role of a small town boy, a street smart character in the movie. In order to match the role, Emraan underwent complete makeover for Shanghai. During the shoot of the movie, Emraan was spotted with a small paunch and buck tooth as well. He had loads of Pasta on director Dibakar Banerjee’s advice which helped in making that paunch look very obvious.

Dibakar’s view on Emraan’s Character: “His character in the movie is such that, he is always on the lookout to make money and once in a while does underground night shoots. If he sees a girl, he will talk to her into getting a photo shoot done. Actually, he is a very lovable character with tremendous depth. Hope you all enjoy the movie.”
