Box Office should not judge a film’s success: Vinay Pathak

Actor Vinay Pathak, who has appeared in many critically acclaimed films thinks that box office collections should not be considered while judging the success of a film.

A lot of time money (box office collection) has been considered as a parameter to judge the success of a film. Money should never be a scale to judge a good or bad story.

he said, adding “audience should decide which is a good movie and only they can decide when to watch it.”

Pathak, who has starred in movies like Bheja Fry, Bheja Fry 2, Chalo Dilli, Dasvidaniya and Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, said media has a greater role to play in educating audience about cinema.

Majority of our audience are not literate about cinema.

he added.

Through broadband, every computer screen in households can be turned into a silver screen.

Spend the money in dubbing the film and put it on mediums like youtube. With this, all kinds of films will find a place on internet and filmmakers will also find audience.
