Bollywood Goes to Auckland

The Spring Film Festival at Auckland, New Zealand from April 14th to 21st will have Bollywood movies on display,

The movies which are going to be on Display are, Paa on the opening night, then New York, Dil Bole Hadippa, Love Aaj Kal, Dostana, Ghajini & Three Idiots.

Apart from Bollywood movies, the Oscar listed ‘Harishchandrachi Factory’ and Rituparno Ghosh’s ‘Shob Charitro Kalponik’ the Bipasha Basu starrer, also the Tamil fillum ‘Kanchivaram’ the Prakash Raj & Shriya Reddy starrer, which has the subject of exploitation and corruption in the dying days of the Raj will also be shown in the festival, ‘Mee Sreyobhilashi’ the Rajendra Prasad fillum which is derived from the Japanese Fillum ‘Ikinai’.

The festival will have a short ‘Tea & Biscuits’ made by a local resident Sandeep Khurana who is working at Australian Trade commission who has a dream to become a director, its a short seven minuit fillum which has won a local competition because of which he had to fly to Mimbai to meet Bollywoods big names.

When spoke to him, Sandeep Khurana said,

“Tea & Biscuits is a ritual that my wife and I started soon after we got married, It reminds me of home in India where tea is such an important part of our day.”

Its a proud to say that Bollywood is being appreciated not just in India, but also in other countries too.
