Bipasha Goes International

One more Bollywood actress is now joining crew members of Hollywood, and that’s none other than dusky beauty, Bipasha Basu, who has left everything aside for the shooting of her first international project, English-French director Roland Joffe’s Singularity.

Bipsha will star along with Chris Pine, Josh Hartnett, Bond girl Olga Kurylenko, Christopher Egan and Shane Briant. Rumors are there that Abhay Deol has also signed a film. Directed by Roland Joffe, the film is a historical romance set against the backdrop of the first Anglo-Maratha war in the 18th century.

Excited Bipasha says about her first international project,

“I bumped into Roland (Joffe) at Taj in Bandra around a month ago. I could barely say ‘hi’ to him as I had to rush back for a meeting. Later, I got a call from him saying that he liked my voice and would like me to do his film.”

“Unlike actors who are happy doing a small part in an international film, I knew that I wanted a pivotal role. And I am playing one of the lead characters in the film.”

Bipasha, who will be missing Diwali for the initial rehearsals for the film, says she would have loved to get some more time to prepare for her role.

“I am not getting much of preparation time right now. I have been given just eight days to prepare for underwater scenes and horse riding…I wish I had at least a month’s time for preparation.”

“There is just no time before I fly out! I have finished all my pending endorsement assignments and now I will try and grasp whatever I can there itself.”

“The script is fantastic. They have a lot of expertise in their field…it’s going to be a whole lot of hard work, and it’s going to be great fun to adapt to their system of working.”

Nevertheless, she is looking forward to working with Hollywood actors.
