Bhansali all set for small screen

Bollywood’s one of the best filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali is all set to make his debut on the small screen.

Bhansali is planning to make a show based on the popular Gujarati novel Saraswatichandra by Govardhanram Madhavaram Tripathi.

A movie was also made based on the same concept which featured Manish and Nutan in the year 1968.

Novel’s first volume was published in 1887 and the fourth one in 1902, story revolves around the lives of people in the early 20th century and the beginning of the meltdown of old customs and traditions.

“It’s a huge, four volume literary work with chunks of material. The work is still going on. But I will talk about my TV stint in detail later. For now, I am just focusing on Rowdy Rathore and Shirin Farhad Ki Nikal Padi.”

Says Bhansali in an recent interview.
