Anupam New Goodwill Ambassador of Pratham Education Foundation


Padma Shri Award winner, and veteran actor, Anupam Kher has added one more prestigious flag on his crown, as the actor has become a Goodwill Ambassador of the Pratham Education Foundation. Announcing the welcome-note for Anumpam Kher, Madhav Chavan, CEO Pratham Education Foundation said,

“I hope he can help spotlight the key issues concerning education and help Pratham achieve its mission of “every child in school and learning well.”

Anupam will also be hosting Pratham’s informative and educational TV programme called “Angrezi OK Please.” Being a Goodwill Ambassador, Anupam will undertake a planned trip to the USA. On the occasion, Anupam said,

I have always been drawn to the cause of children’s education which is why I have founded a School of Life Programme. I am certain a lot of synergy will be unleashed in being appointed Goodwill Ambassador for Pratham and in leveraging my media image. By becoming Pratham’s public face, I hope to augment in its fund raising, capacity enhancement and other initiatives dedicated to the cause of children’s education.”

Before, Anupam, veteran actor Waheeda Rahman has been a Pratham Goodwill Ambassador for several years now, and has supported the NGO by helping to raise awareness about the issues of education and learning.
