Amitabh Officially Announces to Copyright his Voice

We have already announced on his birthday that Bollywood megastar, Amitabh Bachchan has decided to copyright his manly voice and now he has been officially announced that soon he will copyright his voice because a tobacco manufacturer allegedly used his imitated voice to promote his brand.

Explaining the reason behind taking this kind of action, the actor wrote on his blog,

“Not only is this unethical and wrong, it paints me in bad light as well… For someone that does not smoke or propagate smoking or any kind of intoxicant… it is most disgusting to find someone conflagrating the law of the land. Work in this direction is in process.”

He said that the same rule applied to the use of actors’ images.

“Caricatured images are used for commercial gain without our permission and this is completely undesirable. So yes, we move to protect ourselves.”

“I do not have a problem in its use, but… contractual obligations have to be brought in, to protect the celebrity or his or her brand.”

Well, I must say beware companies who are illegally using voices of celebrities for campaigning!
