Akshay to feature in Thupakki’s remake

After much speculation it is being said that Akshay Kumar and south director A R Murugadoss will finally be working together on a remake of south movie, Thupakki.

The original movie is being shot with Tamil star Vijay and Kajal Agarwal.

Vipul Shah will be producing the movie and this would be Akki’s second remake of a south film, Rowdy Rathore being the first.

“This will be Murugadoss’s first film after Aamir Khan’s Ghajini. Murugadoss has been planning a film with Khiladi Akshay fo a long time but they were not able to zero down on any subject. They have now finalised on this film that was earlier scheduled to be made in Hindi. Due to Akki’s packed schedule, the making got delayed. Now, the remake is scheduled to start in December. The lead actress is yet to be finalised”

a source was quoted saying.

Murugadoss and Akshay remained unavailable for comment.
