Akki’s Dream Comes True

The first thing which comes to our mind when we think of Akshay “Khiladi” Kumar is his kicks and punches . Since he joined the Film industry, this handsome actor has always nurtured the dream of sponsoring Karate too. And finally, this dream of his sees the light of the day, as Akki is all set to sponsor a Karate Championship where the young talents will not only enhance their skills and abilities not only nationally but also internationally.The championship has rightly been termed as ‘Akshay Kumar 1st Invitational Open National Karate Championship’. There will be about 2000 participants who would segregate at Mumbai from all over India .

The venue for the Championship has been fixed, and is the Andheri Sports Complex, where the event would be held between 22nd and 25th October 2009. With this championship, Akshay wishes to create a platform where young and budding talent from all over India would get together and get into a world class fighting event. This event will also promote Karate and Martial Arts to the remotest corners of the nation .
