Akki, Kat appointed Brand Ambassadors

Well, for a change it is not that the new brand ambassadors have been hired by a telecom company, or a cola-one , but what these two absolutely stunning bollywood actors, Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif, would be endorsing, are our very own National Games 2009, which are scheduled to happen in Jharkhand starting from the 21st November onwards. This is the 39th year of the establishment of our National Games.
“They will be present at the inaugural as well as closing ceremony of the National Games,” R.K. Anand, president of Jharkhand Olympic Association (JOA), was quoted as saying. He further added that, ”They will also endorse the promotion of the National Games” .

A very candid question went to him when he was asked why Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who is originally from Jharkhand, has not been appointed as brand ambassador, Anand said: “We will invite him for the inaugural and closing ceremony.”

Sources allege that Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif have been paid Rs. 4 Crore. Whether it is the love of money or the nation that has driven them to accept the endorsement, is something we can definitely cannot comment upon !
