Abhishek’s Next Wish to Play ‘Chandrashekhar Azad’


After playing the patriotic character of Surjya Sen in ‘Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey’, it seems that Abhishek loves playing patriotic character. Now the actor wants to play Chandrashekhar Azad’s role. Ashutosh’s KHJJS is a period film, in which Abhishek is playing a Bengali freedom fighter in the film. Abhishek said,

“I have tasted blood and now I want to do some more characters like this.”

Abhishek reveals his desire that his favorite patriotic character is Chandrashekhar Azad whom he would like to portray onscreen. The actor said,

“I like Chandrashekhar Azad. I have always admired him a lot. I have read about him when I was growing up. My father told me that my grandfather had met him. He was so strong that he sent shivers down the Britisher’s spine. Alexender The Great’ is another historical character that fascinates him.”

Abhishek also admitted that he didn’t know about Surjya Sen before doing this film,

“I did not study Indian history. It’s shameful that I did not know about anti-British revolution in Chittagong.”

He also claims that shooting for a period film came easy to him.

“It’s not challenging to do a period film. In fact it’s easier for you to transport into that time.”

It seems that Abhishek’s fans will see him in more patriotic characters very soon.
