Aamir Khan May Start Acting School at Bhadwai Village

Aamir Khan always does something unusual when it comes to promoting his flicks, in first he aided Dhobi for promoting his flick, Dhobi Ghat, and now he is planning to start an acting school for villagers of Bhadwai for their children. But this was not part of the promotional event. The request came from villager’s end. Yes, that’s true villagers have asked co-producers and producers to start an acting school in village.

The story starts when Mahmood Farooqui, co-director of Peepli Live, shot 15-minute of film with raghubir Yadhav and shown to Sarpanch of village and assured the rest of the villagers that they would shoot Peepli Live in the most-invasive way possible. When the music of the flick launched, then the villagers realized the scope of the film industry and acting and now they have requested to start an acting school in the village. A source says,

The villagers’ request surprised Aamir. However, he realised their request was genuine and that the children were keen on learning the nuances of film making.

Mahmood, who’s in charge of taking the request forward, he confirmed,

Yes, Aamir Khan Productions has informed me of this request. We would love to have an acting school for the kids. I will definitely work on this with them.

Directed by Anusha Rizvi, Peepli Live deals with the pledge of the farmers. It features Omkar Das Manikpuri, Raghubir Yadav, Malaika Shenoy and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the lead roles and is set for release on August 13.
