After Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, now Mr. Perfectionist, Aamir Khan is also stepping toward small screen. No wonder he is will debut his presence in small screen with ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ (KBC). The show was previously hosted by Big B, ‘Amitabh Bachchan and King Khan, Shah Rukh Khan.
Amitabh Bachchan hosted the two seasons of the show and made the Star Plus channel into cloud nine and King Khan maintained the glory of the show. Now the show has been shifted to another channel and to possibly finding new superstar as well.
Who will better than to approach Aamir Khan, a man behind the success of India’s biggest Bollywood box-office grosser 3 Idiots? Sony Entertainment Television (SET) is in talk with Aamir Khan and with other actors as well, including Shah Rukh Khan, Anil Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor.
Sony Pictures International has the rights of Who Wants to be a Millionaire (KBC is the Hindi version of this show) after buying out 2Waytraffic. The Dutch company had earlier acquired the whole programming library, including Millionaire, of Celador International.
Reportedly, Aamir has been offered more than Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan, around 75 lakhs per episode. Well, it would be a treat for Aamir Fans, when he will say KBC’s ‘takiyakalam’ like ‘Lock Kiya Jaye’ and ‘Freeze kiya jaye’.
