Aamir Khan Helps Rancho’s School

When anybody seeks help from Aamir, how it could be possible Aamir will say ‘No’, and when help is coming from his school, the Druk White Lotus School, Leh, Aamir left his work and flew to Leh to assess the damage to the Druk White Lotus School caused by the recent floods in the region. The school came into limelight after it was shown as his character Rancho’s school in 3 Idiots. The 44-year-old actor had expressed concern and wanted to visit the badly damaged school and interact with the students where the end scenes of Rajkumar Hirani’s film were shot. He wanted to get first-hand information about the extent of the loss. Aamir said,

“I am here to be with the students because I was told that they are in a state of shock. Nature can be real cruel sometimes but luckily, there were no casualties in the school but they are under emotional trauma. I will try my best to bring back their smiles.”

“I am here to see what kind of assistance do they need, so that we can help raise the money. Apart from my personal contribution, we all have to contribute as a country because it is a huge tragedy. The country should reach out to the people of Leh in these testing times.”

The actor was shattered by the tragedy and decided to visit Leh to create awareness across the nation so that they can lend a helping hand.
