’3 Idiots’ Receives 8 Awards at IIFA

Aamir Khan starrer, 3 Idiots is still hitting the floor and busy in receiving awards. Currently the cast members of 3Idiots are busy in receiving awards at the ongoing Indian International Film academy (IIFA), Colombo, Sri Lanka. So far, 3Idiots has bagged 8 awards, including the Best Firm Award.

Starting with the Best Film Award, Kareena Kapoor received the Best Actress Award alongwith Vidya Balan for ‘Paa’

The Best Director trophy went to Rajkumar Hirani for ’3 Idiots’, while Abhijat Joshi, Vidhu Vinod Chopra won the Best Story award for the same film.

Sharman Joshi won the Best Male Supporting Actor award for his role in ’3 Idiots’, and Boman Irani received the award for his negative role in the film.

Shaan was adjudged as the Best Singer (Male) for ‘Behti hawa sa tha woh’ song (3 Idiots), Swanand Kirkire won the Best Lyrics award.

Last but not least, Omi Vaidya aka Chatur Ramalingam of 3 Idiots shared the debut male honours with Jackky Bhagnani for ‘Kal Kissne Dekha’.

The film, a coming-of-age comedy about three students at a top engineering college, had been nominated in 12 of the 13 main categories in the 11th Indian International Film Academy (IIFA) awards.

It has already won eight of the 12 technical awards announced last month, including Best Screenplay and Best Cinematography.
