The film, about a poor Rajasthani boy who has a strong desire to learn reading and is inspired by former Indian President A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, will be the opening film at the prestigious festival. Grover talks about the film,

“I Am Kalam is very special because it deals with child education and for the first time an NGO, SMILE Foundation has ventured to produce a feature film.”

The actor is also excited about the film being screened at the LA film fest. The actor says,

“I am especially flying to Los Angeles to be at the gala opening night. A lot of friends and Hollywood personalities are slated to attend the event and I am sure, like every time, I Am Kalam will touch audiences’ hearts.”
