People differ and so do our leading Actors. There is a stark difference between their approach to life. While prefers to capitalize on the moolah, the other wants substance to lend is name.

The people we are referring to happen to be none other than our leading stars of Hindi film industry Aamir Khan and Shahrukh Khan. A recent incident shows a diametrically opposite decision makiing process of the two.

Recently Shahrukh Khan was approached to launch Arindam Chowdhary’s new book. Which he gladly did for a princely sum of 30 lakhs. He wisely milked the opportunity. However, when Aamir was faced with such a predicament , when presented with request from a novice author to launch his book, he told him that he would first read the book and would endorse and promote it, only if he likes. And the remuneration in that case? – Free of cost.

Guess personalities do differ a lot, and they still can co-exist at the top!

Abhishek ready for a new stint

Abhishek is all geared up to host his very own show for the first time on the small screen – ” National Bingo Night ” . This show is going to be broadcast on Colors Channel. It seems to be a deviant from the regular television shows and the advertisements are till now in the form of teasers only,

We recently happened to eavesdrop on the very closely guarded promotional shoot for the same and found Aby’s Baby in a baby pink jacket. For his first episode too he dons a metrosexual look, what with a pale yellow shirt and white trousers to go along with it.

He had similar look for the movies Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna and even Dostana, and his look was widely appreciated too.

Well hope his style statement hits the jackpot this time around as well and proves to be a crowd-puller for his endeavour for which he is so very excited. The game show will have two fast-paced rounds of the popular guessing game ‘Bingo’. Talking about the same, Abhishek Bachhan said, ” This is such a chilled out concept and something that has never been done before in India. The sheer simplicity of the idea and the fact that this show is highly interactive is what attracted me to it. ” All the best Abhi!

Another super-hot movie in PC’s lap

Priyanka Chopra acted brilliantl in Ashutosh Gowariker’s Whats Your Raashee, and also won numerous accolades and awards for the same. Next on her kitty is – Priyanka will be seen seducing seven husbands in Vishal Bharadwaj’s next  project. Priyanka has already started working on the next difficult thing on hand.

Talking about the same, Priyanka was heard crooning –  “Vishal’s next film is a massive canvas film and it really is a demanding role for me. I am really looking forward to it.

The movie is untitled as yet and is supposed to be a dark comedy and has been written with a lot of care. It must be noted, that all of Piggy Chop’s recent roles have been very interesting and different from each other to say the least. Right from Kaminey to Dostana to Whats Your Raashee, all the roles have been poles apart from each other. And how effortlessly she transformed herself from one role to another was seamless. While, director Vishal Bharadwaj has signed only Priyanka in the lead so far, it is still not known who will be casted as the seven husbands opposite Priyanka.

Let us wait and watch as this forthcoming film promises to be rather interesting adn captivating, to say the least.

Karan Johar dons a new hat??

Well we all remember how Karan Johar started off as an assistant director to Aditya Chopra in his cult classic Dilwale Dulhania Le Jaayenge. However it is a lessr known fact that it was Karan Johar, who, at the lsst moment due to some glitch also had to play the role of one of Shahrukh’s friends, the fat guy in spectacles!

Since then, Karan and his graph of success has seen a steady upswing. With getting into full-stream direction, followed by his enviable fashion sense, and the way he revamped the way he looked. Also his stint with the TV with a chat show – Koffee with Karan, he has been a jack of many trades. And it is now that Karan may plan to add one more feather to his cap – by acting.

The reason behind this is that It is learnt that many producers in Bollywood are keen to cast Karan Johar as an actor but the filmmaker is fighting shy about this idea. The filmmaker feels that his conversations in front of the camera are more interesting to him than the idea of running around trees. Well, how mich Karan can resist this temptation, only time shall tell.

Shilpa adored by many

Shilpa did all of us Indians proud by winning the celebrity Big Boss title in the year 2007. There were many twists and turns to Shilpa Shetty’s winning streak. Including a lot of racist comments from Jade Goody which she had to endure, and how she struggled due to the drastically different culture prevalent over there. And to this date, her stint at celebrity Big Boss continues to make news.

Recently her celebrity Big Boss co-inmate, Ian H Watkins was heard singing praises about how fantastic a woman Shilpa actually is and how lucky he is to have met her in Bigg Boss. Ian was a former singer in the group – Steps . In an interview, he said: “There was a lot of argument that year. But one good thing that came from the experience is mine and Shilpa’s amity. She’s an incredible woman and one of my dearest friends. I feel very fortunate to have her in my life.”

Apart from Ian, amongst the list of Shilpa’s admirers are also famed singer Peter Andre and even Jermaine Jackson. Way to go girl, make us all proud by your conduct and grace worldwide! Kudos.

Johnny boy not at ease?

Well it is a fact well known that John Abraham does make all the hearts race too fast, with his sheer presence. And when his uber hot girlfriend too is by his side, the temperatures would soar notches higher.

Recently John and Bipasha Basu were invited to be the chief guest of a College-level event. As soon as John entered, he was faced by cat-calls. The female attention he was receiving was very much overwhelming. The crowd was roaring beyond control.

There were many requests to which John was at the receiving end. But some were completely over the top. And many which could not be obliged.

Some uneasy ones also included pleas to John for removing his shirt and to flex his muscles. John’s discomfort was truly evident but he tried hard to hide it. Finally the couple in question got some solace after leaving the place. We can understand, the crowd can get kind of unruly at times, but guess it is all a part and parcel of the game of show-biz.

Celina is gonna be richer!

It is the party season, and who does not wish to rub shoulders with the glitteratis in the New Years. Well it is a fad here in Bollywood of spending exorbitant amounts to get a bollywood actor to do a gig on a New Year’s Eve bash. And it is this very fetish, in which the actors can really make hay while the New Year sun shines on them.

Recently, it was reported that Bipasha Basu, the original seductress of our fillum industry charged an astonishing 2.47 crores for a mere 15 minute apperance, now rumour has it that thew feline features-rich Celina Jaitley too has been roped in to perform on New Year’s Eve. The venue is apparently Country Club, Mumbai, where she can be seen gyrating to her hindi hits, and the gig might also include some classic numbers, to which she might groove.

Talking about the monetary aspect of the same, Celina said,  “I think I wont be able divulge any information on this, but let me tell you it is upwards of Rs 60 lac.” Planning to celebrate the remaining part of the evening with her family and friends, Celina simply is one enviable girl!

And how higher than 60 lakhs, her remuneration might be, is for our imagination to decipher!

Salman not in the race

It was Salman who got heroes in the hindi film kingdom , fitness conscious, once he started working on his body from as early as the late eighties. And now, the scenario today is such, that all the actors want a picture perfect body, complete with a six or eight-pack abs. It is now that Salman has quit the band-wagon of abs, and he says, ” It doesn”t matter whether you have six packs or eight packs. In the earlier days, all that mattered was strength. During those days, people had strength in their bodies which they showed off and not the muscles. I too believe in the same philosophy”. Well said, Salman.

When asked about the fact that it is in fad today to be running behind gorgoeus abs, Salman says in a very upfront manner that he is not too concerned about what others do. He does not beleive in aping or following others or their footsteps, howsoever fruitful it might have proven for them. He says that he has a flat stomach, and also power, and nothing more is needed or counts.

Talking about his recent look, Salman said, “I had to grow my hair for the Pindhari look in Veer and that is when I started having a ponytail. Then again, I had one more shooting sequence in London for which I had to chop it off. Actually, I was not allowed to cut my hair when I was shooting for the earlier sequences for Veer. When it grew long I thought I would tie it up into a ponytail and hence if you ‘ve noticed I sport a ponytail in Dus Ka Dum.”
