Kareena follows Katrina

Katrina rocked us all by her power packed performance in Kabir Khan’s New York, and following on the same footsteps was our very own Bebo, who has left no stones unturned in her latest flick, Kurbaan with boyfriend Saif Ali Khan, in fact both the roles are way too similar in their content as well, and are set in New York. Also, Kartrina and Kareena both look at these roles as pivotal in their career-graph and are really close to the films respectively. What is more is director Rensil D’Silva too agrees to the uncanny resemblances between both the characters!

Talking more elaborately on the same issue, Rensil said , that every work on terror and terrorism has its own mood and purpose. “There can be any number of films on two people falling in love. It’s about how the individual director interprets the emotion of love.Likewise with the theme of terrorism. Well said, rensil. When Kabir Khan was questioned on the issue he said, said, “What can I say about the similarities between the two films? Kurbaan looks like a well-made film. If they’re similar then I’m sure that the audience that appreciated my New York will also take to this film.”But the real fight will be between Kareena and Katrina, both portraying similar roles and vying for the same popular awards at the end of the year.” True Kabir, well said!

Aamir, better watch out!

Aamir Khan’s title as being the perfectionist is at stake now, what with southern sensation Surya taking his Hindi tutorials way too seriously. It seems Aamir and rest of the Khan clan seriously need to tighten their shoelaces and be ready for the times to come with more competition in the form of Surya. Surya is these days learning proper hindi diction and pitch in order to deliver crisp dialogues for his forthcoming movie Rakht Charitra.

The extent of his dedication is seen by the fact that he has hired a private tutor for himself to teach the language and is working real hard at it. We are pretty sure Ram Gopal Varma would really appreciate that. Rakht Charitra would be in the making from February 2010 onwards, however news about the flick has already started doing the rounds, guess better days are in store for RGV finally.

Kareena defends poster

Kareena is set to sizzle the screen with Saif Ali Khan with a forthcoming movie of the couple Kurbaan. The promotions of Kurbaan are on in full swing. Also, one peculiar poster which has caught both the fillum janta’s eyes is that of a backless Kareena Kapoor and Siaf Ali Khan. Though it has been shot very aesthetically, still it has been under the scrutiny.

Kareena is of the opinion that the poster speaks volumes about the theme og the movie, what with she , guarding an injured Saif Ali Khan who has a wound on his chest and is bleeding. “There is love, passion and violence – all combined in here and what better way than to show it through a single still? You too would agree that there is nothing sleazy or vulgar about it. Knowing the sensibilities of Karan Johar (producer) and Rensil D’Silva (director), that’s the least one could have expected, ” she added.

Bebo beleives, that after long, her character of Avantika in the movie will make people sit up and notice her acting capabilities.

Paa has Jaya too!

Well, the latest Hollywood inspired flick to hit the shores of Bollywood, “Paa” which stars Amitabh Bachhan also has roped in Jaya Bachhan to play a part in the flick.

The director of this movie which has been inspired by the storyline of The curious Case Of Benjamin Button , Balki has roped in Jaya to introduce the cast and crew of the movie in the credits. While editing the movie, he thought of an idea that someone should introduce Amitabh’s character and Jaya fit the bill completely.

Balki said, he was just looking for an excuse to work with the charismatic yesteryear actress.

Kareena keeps Saif sane

Well, we would imagine what more can an actor want, than shooting in foreign land, with his lover, it seems like a paid vacation, right, guys? If we are to beleive Saif Ali Khan, that is as far from the truth that we can get!

Saif and Bebo were recently in Philadelphia shooting for Kurbaan, however, Saif Ali Khan says the whole shoot was very hard and gruesome. In fact, the Philadelphia schedule was plain hell. It wasn’t anything like a picnic shooting for the film,” says Saif, who is glad that the film is complete and ready for release.

Over there, it gets dark by 4 pm itself, plus the temperature there is extremely low, what with it touching about minus ten degrees! Also, since they were shooting in sync sound, it used to get all the more difficult to get the tone and the pitch right in such atrocious weather, when you are shivering with cold.

Thankfully, Kareenqa was there with Saifu at that time but still both of them were not too gleeful.As it was quite cold in Philadelphia, Saif and Kareena were required to wear layers of clothing. Later, for continuity purpose, they had to wear the same clothes in the summer of Mumbai. Well, acting isnt too easy a job it seems, right, folks?

Ajay finally opens up

The party-shy Ajay Devgan, always used to keep his safe distance from the social-dos happening in the fillum industry, s it was quite a shocker, a few days back when we came to know, that the reticent Devgan has kept a bash for his filmi friends for the first ever time since he joined the industry! Leave apart throwing a party, he has never even attended one till now, with his filmi folks.

But the new comedy-king Devgan newly energized by the success of All The Best has resolved to let the world know he’s ready to rock the house! Devgan’s close friends Sanjay Dutt and Maanyata were the first to arrive and also among the first to leave since Sanjay had an early-morning flight to catch to South Africa, where he would be shooting for an upcoming movies of his.

And then seen arm in arm at the party were Fardeen and wifey Natasha. Also, Abhishek Bachhan walked in minus Aish, and Amitabh Bachhan, but with Amar Singh. John and Bipasha too joined in thr frolic, alneit pretty late.

With wife Kajol by his side Ajay maybe is working towards building Brand Devgan at par with Saif-Kareena and Abhishek-Aishwarya. And it seems, the party on Thursday night was the first step in that direction. Better late than never, we say!

Aamir embarassed

Aamir recently had to be a little bit embarassed in his last press conference, for the promotion of his upcoming flick ” Three Idiots ” . What happened was, Aamir terribly felt the need to answer nature’s call, but was stuck in traffic for a good two and a half hours before reaching the venue! By the time he reached the five star hotel, he was almost pushing past the media and pleaded that he needed to use the bathroom, and was desperately scouting for one!

Well, cannot help but sympathise with you, Aamir, afterall, even celebrities have human urges!
