Abhi-Ash had narrow escape

The latest Abhishek Bachhan – Aishwarya Rai starrer and Mani Ratnam directed Raavan has been in the news for all the wrong reasons recently. We all know how much gung-ho the couple are about each other, and go to any extent to spend quality time with each other, but this was not what we had in mind!

Recently, Mani Ratnam was supposed to go have a look at the Elephant which was required for the shoot the next day, and Abhishek-Aishwarya volunteered to accompany him, but to everyone’s dismay, hell broke loose there.   The elephant went berserk killing the mahout and taking off on a stampede that had Abhi-Aish and Mani hiding in the jungles until help arrived which controlled the giant elephant.
According to a source present, “Abhi-Aish and Mani went hungry and thirsty for over ten hours, after which they were rescued, there was no news about their safety, and both their parents were very worried.”

Raavan seems to be the most taxing fillum for Mani Ratnam as well. The havoc started with Mani’s health scare to a rampaging elephant to severe viral infections and malaria! All this leads us to think that a flick can be made o the making of Raavan as well !

Sallu embarrassed Farah

On Salman Khan’s game-show , ” Dus Ka Dum ” the recent guest included one of the most renowmed hindi fillum director, Farah Khan. The  ” Main Hoon Na ” and ” Om Shanti Om ” Director kept everyone amused with her anecdotes.

Farah recalled how, on the audition for ” Maine Pyaar Kiya ” back in 1989, Salman pulled her along in front of Sooraj Barjatya so that she could show him some steps, and Salman could do it in front of the reclusive director, but when Sallu Bhai donned the dancing shoes, Farah was appalled and red-faced because of the embarassment, that she called for a taxi and straight headed home!

Salman who was visibly blushing after this story, candidly admitted, that yes, he did have two left feet earlier, and even volunteered to show those very steps which drove Farah home twenty years ago, to everyone’s amusement.

“My Name Is Khan” Distribution rights

Well, even before the promos go on air, the ShahRukh Khan Kajol starrer magnum opus directed by Karan Johar is garnering a whole lot of hoopla. The latest buzz going the rounds is that the Worldwide Distribution Rights for ” My Name Is Khan ” are going to be sold for 100 Crores, this surpasses the recent bench-mark of Ghajini, which till now held the record with Ninety Crores. Earlier, Singh is Kinng was sold for Sixty Crores.

The purchaser of the rights is Fox Broadcasting Company. Considering the fact that our very popular King Khan is quite a force to reckon with in India and abroad , with magnanimous fan folllowing in Briatin and United Arab Emirates , the offer seems to be apt. Well, lets hope the dream team of SRK, Kajol and K Jo lives up to the expectations.

Where is Udita?

In case you are wondering where has Udita Goswami disappeared after her brief stunt in Hindi fillums with Paap , Zeher, Aksar, and some otrher rather forgettable movies, she has recently signed five new fillums, so you will surely be seeing a lot more of her around. Out of these five flicks, two are opposite Punjab da Puttar Sunny Deol, one supernatural thriller, and another two with Akshay Kumar. Udita was recently quoted saying, “Yes, I’m working in ‘Fox’ and ‘The Man’, both of which are action films with Sunny Deol in the lead. Both films give me a chance to do something that I haven’t done before” .

Citing the reason for her recent absence she says, she was wanting to work only in movies centred around her, however, Udita said, it was not found to be a very viable option as there are actually very few women-centric movies being made, and hence the comeback. Well, whatever the reasons, we wish her all the best for her forthcoming fillums!

“Life Partner” was Akki’s suggestion

The movie ” Life Partner ” which was supposed to star Akshay Kumar was in news recently due to a supposed rift between the Khiladi Kumar and the Director of the fillum Rumi Jaffery, however Rumi deies any such rift between them and in fact pointed out that the title of the movie was suggested by Akshay Kumar himself.

Akshay was supposed tp essay the role of a divorce lawyer who is against the concept of marriage, but citing date issues, Akshay opted out of the movie and the role eventually landed in Govinda’s lap. ” Life Partner ” stars Fardeen Khan , Genelia D’Souza, Tusshar Kapoor and Prachi Desai as well, and is a movie about the journey of these two couples through some ups and downs.

SRK’s newest abode

After dressing up Bandra Band-Stand with his palatial house Mannat, news has it that our very beloved King Khan has bought a 20 million pounds worth of Apartment in a plush locale of London. Shahrukh had recently been awarded a Doctorate by the Bedfordshire University of London and is particularly fond of the city and heads off there quite often to spend some serene time with his family.

The property in question is located on the Park Lane,Central London, and SRK who is currently shooting for  ” My Name Is Khan ” closed the deal on his recent trip to London. Shahrukh has invested in land in the UAE as well. Heres hoping his newest investment brings him loads of good-luck and prosperity too.
